Here is a great place to test the popup stopper: http://www.guardwall.com/tests.asp. From this test you should not be getting any pop-ups that are undesired.
If you are getting random pop-ups that don’t seam to be coming from a particular web page that you are surfing, then you most likely have spyware / adware installed
on your machine causing these pop-ups. Our products do not install any of these types of programs, but unfortunately many of the other application out there do. While
RIP Pop-Ups does stop pop-ups that are caused by web surfing, it does not stop pop-ups that are generated by adware. However, you can get ride of them by downloading
another application from http://download.com.com/3120-20-0.html?qt=remove+spyware&tg=dl-2001. There you will find a bunch of free software that will allow you to see if
you have one of these spyware / adware apps running on your machine. This one is our favorite and it is free http://download.com.com/3000-8022-10214379.html?tag=lst-0-5.
Spyware / adware tend to install toolbar / mess up IE.
Note: If after removing the unwanted adware, you can’t see the RIP Pop-Ups toolbar anymore, I would recommend
uninstalling and then installing it again to get IE back to its old self.
